TROUBLE

An inquiry into the circumstances attending the deaths of Mr. George William Cade Burnett, formerly proprietor of the "China Mail," and of Mrs. Caroline Burnett, his wife, who were found dead from gunshot wounds in their house, “Mountain View," the Peak, on New Year's Day, was opened at the Central Magistracy yesterday afternoon by Mr. E. W. Hamilton.

The medical evidence concurred that Mrs. Burnett's wound was homicidal and could not have been self-inflicted. Mr. Burnett'à could
