PIONEER ART SUPPLEMENT.
DISTINGUERED GROUP OF RESIDENTS AT HOSPITAL OPENING. — E. the Governor (Sir Cecil Clementi, K.C.M.G.) and Lady Clementi were present at Sookumpoo on November 27 at the formal opening of the Tung Wah Eastern Hospital, which will be very useful for natives in the east of Hong Kong, Several lakhs of dollars have been subscribed but more inaney is required. The Tung Wah Hospital has for years been the foremost Chinese institution of philanthropy in the Colony.-(A, Fong).
FIRE BRIGADE'S ANNUAL DISPLAY.--Chineze firemen of the Colony on parade in the compound of Police Headquarters on November 27 when. under their officers, they gave an excellent turn-out.--(Alfred Lock & Co.)
