Malaya still fought grimly to-day, with their backs to the wall, it being the last day of the triangular interport cricket fortnight. Rain yesterday and last night eased conditions for the visitors, so that the last three Malayan wickets put on 120 runs. As they had 19 on yesterday, they left Hnog Kong 140 to get in 185 minutes, to repeat the double victory over Shanghai and Malaya, as was the case in 1927 and 1924. Like the two preceding games, this one also held out keen interest to the end.
R. B. L. Braddell, the Malaya' skipper, played fine cricket; and he received very useful support from A. S. A. Jansea.
