TAIKOO R.C. v. C.C.C.
On their own ground, the Taikoo R.C. defeated the Cmigengower C.C by 14 shots.
In the first rink, Bradbury opened with a 1 and a 2 and improved his lead by five shots up to the 8th head (12-1). Wotherspoon then scored 2-3-2 but drew a blank in the next three heads. Five
points behind at this stage, the home skip notched 2-1-8 and led for the first time (17-16) at the 1th head. In the last four heads Wotherspoon scored four shots and gave away one.
The visitors also drew first blood in the second rink, Basa getting a 4 and a 1. Ferguson then scored a single and immediately after gave away three points. In the next seven attempta, Ferguson monopolised the searing, pil. ing on 12 shots at a stretch. Bass Rever recovered from this set-back and lost by five shots at the end.
Up to half way through, play was very even in the Drummond-Omar rink, the score standing at 8-7 in the latter's favour at the 12th head. Omar increased his advantage by three shots, but from then on, Drummond turned the tables on him and finished up five shots ahead.

Team Race The Inter-Company Team Race was easily the most exciting event on the programme. There
this race- were four teams in Machine Gun Co., Portuguese Co.. the Battery Scottish Co., and The Portuguese took the lead at the start, with the Machine Gun-: ners close behind. With the first three swimmers it was a touch 22 and go affair between the Portu guese and the Machine Gunners, and the ultimate result was very much in doubt. Then the Portu- guese forged ahead with their fourth man, and. increasing their lead with each subsequent man, won handsomely.

Malaria ?
Companies which insure people against sickness ask special rates and make special stipulations which practically bar malarial suf- ferers from participating in their: benefits.
The best insurance against malaria is good blood. For when the blood is filled with those little 30 red corpuscles which mean health the system is in right condition to repel and expel malarial germs. For this purpose the only proved 24 specific is Dr. Williama' Pink Pills, a physician's prescription which for 08 forty years has stood pre-eminent as the greatest blood tonic in the world.
