THE NATION'S DAY OF THANKSGIVING.Their Majesties the King and Queen attended a special service of thanksgiving for the King's recovery to health, at Westminster Abbey, London. Thousands lined the route from Buckingham Palace to the Abbey and enthusiastically cheered their Majesties, who are seen acknowledging the crowd's enthusiastic greeting as they approach the Abbey. CHIMNEY STACK DEMOLISHING IN RECORD TIME. In the course of executing a contract for felling six chimney stacks at Ashby's Cement Works, Greenwich, Kent, a steeplejack brought down four in an afternoon's work. The work is performed by pick- ing away at the base of the stack until a crack appears and then standing clear. One of the stacks is seen falling here.(Sport and General).
