His theory is that the bending of the light rays by refraction of the atmosphere may enable the camera to record scenes far below th: horizon. Bags Lions With Masculine Skill

Mrs. James L. Clark, wife of the assistant-di- rector of the American Museum of Natural History, New York sportswoman and hig game huntress, recently returned from Africa, where she organized and led a party on a big game hunt in the Sudan. A most valuable part of the expedition was the touring car and two trucks used for transportation, a white mechanic being used to keep the rolling stock in good shape. Mrs. Clark did all her own hunting, with only one native guide backing, her up. However, he didn't fire a single shot throughout the hunting party. Mrs. Clark is shown, above, with two lions she killed in twe minutes, one with a right shot and one with a left shot. She is the only hunter to see twe maned lions together and lucky enough to ge both of them. They were killed within a range of eighty yards.
