MATCH ENDS IN DARKNESS

In a friendly match across the river at Fati to-day, the Shameen Sports Club drew with H.M.S. "Seamew," "Seamew" went in first and knocked up 132, Lieut. Hill- Walker contributing 56, which on a 'none too 'good wicket was a very creditable performance. The Club replied with 95 for seven wickets, the last 20 minutes of the game being played in comparative dark ness, the Club losing both Evans' and - Evelyn's wickets in an over. Scores :---

By defeating the Club de Recreio in Division I of the Lawn Bowls League on Saturday, the Kowloon Dock R.C.. may be said to have done a service to the Craigengower C.C., as the latter have now a clear lead of two points over their nearest rivals who, inci- dentally, are the K.D.R.C. themselves.

Mair drew first blood against Omar; but the former's ascendancy. was of only short duration, as the visitors took the lead by 2 points (8-6) at the 7th head and never looked back. For the last 14 heads, Omar scored 22 shots, whilst Mair notched six singles, the former finishing up 18 points to the good.

Aroulli, A comparatively new skip for Craigengower, literally swamped Weat, winning by the bandsome margin of 19 shots. He started off in fine start and had a clear lead of 11 shots at the fourth head, which included a 4 and a 5 in the second and fourth ventures. West opened his account with a 4 on the 5th head but dropped other six points in the next four heads. Continuing to play consistently well, the C.C.C. quartette brought their total to 31 shots as against 12 by their opponents.
