sent from Singapore the Hong Kong police authorities combed the ship and traced the convict as the wanted man. He was detain- ed at Hong Kong pending the ar- rival of an escort from Singapore. Inspector Goldman, who left with an Indian guard in charge of 91 banishees some weeks ago, return" ed yesterday bringing the convict back with him. He is the seventh man who is now back in gaol. In 1927 he was before the Singapore Assizes when he was sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment on a charge of attempted murder.
