RESULTS DURING WEEK

The matches played during the week in connection with the Steel Coulson Billiards League attracted quite a large number of spectators to the various Clubs and institutions competing for the massive silver cup known as the "Steel Coulson Billiards Cup."

The results of the matches which were keenly contested, are

The newly elected Council have held their first meeting and have elected their Sub-Committees and have also already announced an Ex- traordinary general meeting. These Sub-Committees have, in the writer's upinion, been well chosen. Their duties are not a sinecure, as much hard work will be forthcoming for them, if last season's experiences are any criterion,

The Council at their first meeting elected Messrs.:-Ormiston, Lee, and Duncan as the Emergency Sub- Committee of these the two former are tried and trusted, and did good service last year. Mr. Duncan, a new member, will have ample op- portunity of displaying his judg ment in all cases of misconduct
