Traditional Rivals.--Down through the years has come the tradition of the Yale-Harvard crew classic on the Thames river at Gales Ferry, Conn., which is considered one of the most colourful sport events of college year. With the advent of Coach Ed Leaderat Yale, the Blue crews have run up a wide margin of wins over their Red rivals. This year Yale won again. The Harvard crew, top, had trouble settling into any kind of rowing form under the tutelage of Couch Brown, beaded by their long, rangy captain, Clark, left inset. Yale, top. has been rewing moothly and turned the trick for their leader, Captain Cushman, right inset.
