Peking, Last Night. Late this evening while Ho Cheng-chuzi (who has been acting on Chiang Kai-shek's behalf during the negotiations) and General Fang- peng-jen (also supporting Chiang Kai-shek) were in conference with Yen Hsi-shan, the latter was sud- denly taken ill. A doctor was called and he ordered Yen Hsi-shan to hospital without delay.

Yen Hai-shan thereupon entered the German Hospital, which is in the Legation Quarter. It is believ- ed that he is suffering from dysentery-Reuter.

Mr. F. 0. D. Gourdin, of the Bank Line, reported to the Police, yesterday that at about 7 pm, on Monday he was involved in a motor accident on the Castle Peak- road.
