HARBOUR BOARD'S REPORT
Reporting the trade of the port and on the fancial results obtain- ed for the year ended September 30, 1628, the Wellington Harbour Board state that there has been a moderate increase in the trade of the port for the year. Overseas Imports from English and foreign ports have in- creased considerably, Cargo fram coastal and Australian ports has de- cressed slightly, while there has been an increase in general goods tran- shipments. cargo outwards has increased to a considerable ex- Lent, particularly to

The tonnage of inward cargo, apart from transhipments, was 1,104,707 tons, as against 1,006,700 tons for 1925-27 a increase of 94,947 tons, or 0.7 per cent.
It may be anticipated that with the prices now ruling for our pro- duce, there will be an increase in imports during the coming year.
