Vice-President of the Electrical Workers' Union, refused to supply men on three Jobs of members of the Em- ployers' Association at New York, who, in turn, voted to lock out 75,000 working in the building trades in New York city. This action, if taken, will tie up nearly $300,000,000 of building construction. The workers obtained an injunction against the action which Christian G. Norman, below, chairman of the Building T Trades Association, has ordered the members to obey. Thomas Williams, right, representa- tive of the Department of Labour, from Washington, in an attempt to mediate the lockout, was partly instrumental in persuading Broach to withdraw his refusal to supply the men,
