Captain Harry W. Lyon, jun., is one of the six crack aviators who propose to make a non-stop fight around the world and have been working on plans for half a year. They may use a unique plane made partly of metal and partly of lora fabric, capable of mak- ing a speed of 150 miles an hour, and expect to make the trip in 5 or 6 days.

Aati-Opium Body Entertains Dr. Alfred Sze-A reception-tea was given by the National Anti- Opium Association of China rt the "inty Moore" Cafe, Shanghai, in honour of Dr. Alfred S. K. Sz Chinese Minister to Britain. A glowing tribute was paid to the carcer of the guest of honour and to the part he played in the first and second Conferences at Geneva.--(Áh Fong).
King Albert III-Although nothing. alarming to his people, King Albert of Belgium was forced to cancel attend- ance at the unveiling of a war monu- ment at Streegraat, Balgium. The King of Belgium usually enjoys good health and takes care of himself.

Instead of wings running crosswise as in other 'planes, this large pear-shaped! wing runs lengthwise and the autor and cabin are suspended beneath the roof-like wing. The propeller turns through an opening in the wing. The inventor, asserts the huge single wing has a lifting area of 5% pounds to the square iot 21⁄2 pounds greater than the average.
