Mme. Flint And M. Durand-Failure Sequel

DOUBTFUL ASSETS IN FRANCE

Madame Murie Flint, and Monsieur Joseph Louis Durand were discharged from Bankruptcy this morning by the Chief Justice, Sir Henry Gollan, sitting in Bankruptcy Jurisdiction.

The two debtors were partners in the business of the Cafe Parisien, the Europe-Asia Trading Co., and also a dress-making concern solely managed by Madame Flint. They were adjudicated bankrupts in 1927.

JUDGMENT AGAINST M. DURAND

The application for the discharge from bankruptcy of Mme. Flint and M. Durand was made by Mr. D. L. Strellett to the Chief Justice this morning.

Preferential Creditors The Official Receiver, Mr. È. L. Agassiz, informed his Lordship that an application for discharge was first made on December 17, 1927, and was adjourned sine die. Since then investigations had been

made into debtors' affairs and a report had been drawn up, which report he proposed reading to the Court.
