CAPITAL OF £15,000 IN E SHARE
The Dublin and Douglas Steamship Co., with a capital of £15,000 in £1 share, has been registered at Dublin. The first subscribing shareholders are Mr. John Cassidy and Mr Cornelius Crowley, both prominently connected with the Irish cattle export trade. The company has been formed in connection with the new service between Dublin and Silloth, en which the steamer "Yarrow under the changed name "Assoree" is to be employed. Pending the overhauling of the vessel, which is in progress at a Dublin dockyard, the steamer "Kirkcaldy" will carry general cargo between Dublin and Silloth.
