Hankow, To-day. Detalls of the killing af three Augustinian (Passionist) Fathera of the American Catholic Mission, in the west of Hunan province, on April 24. are to hand. Their names, it will be recalled, were:-

Michigan. Clement Seybold, of Dunkirk,
New York. Godfrey Holbein, of Baltimore,
Maryland.
It is revealed that they were
captured, when travelling between Chenki and Yuanchow, by thirty leaderless soldiers and shot in cold blood without any apparent mo- tive.
Murderers at Large
The Priests' servants were made prisoner but released later, The servants brought details of the murders to Chenki, to Fathers. who set Maloney and McCarty, out with a guard of ninety sol- diers and recovered the bodies which were brought in to Chenki, An inquest was held by the focal Chinese Magistrate after which the bodies were taken to Mission headquarters at Shen- showfu for burial.
The murderers were not appre- hended and it has not been ascer tained which army they formerly belonged to-Reuter.
