KOWLOON v. SOUTH CHINA
2
The teams, owing to extra time being called in the previous game turned. out late before a great crowd. South China won by five clear goals with the same team that defeated the R.A. last week and Kowloon introduced Andy Duncan, who got a warm recep- tion from the occupants of the stand.
The teams were:-
Kowloon:-Angus; Guest, Pile; Bliss, Easterbrook, McKelvie: Easterman, Hedley, Hannan. Duncan, and Miles.
South China: Pau Kaping; Li Tin-sang, Lau Mai; Leong Tỉn chiu, Leung Wing-tak, Leung Wing-chiu; Tsang Wing. Chiu Kwok, Fung King-cheong, La Wai-tong, and Ip Pak-wa.
Sensational Start Kowloon lost the toss and kick- ed off, the start being sensational for the Chinese forwards, getting possession, raced to the Kowloon end and Chiu Kwok pat China ont: up in the first minute, Angus fumbling on the line
was
This was a big surprise, but Kowloon went right through from the kick off and Hedley flashed a beauty just outside the side post. Andy Duncan playing well and came near but the Chinese were again danger- ous, Pile saving in a very cool McKelvie put Kowloon going, "classy" work by Lai Wai-tong put Fung in a scoring position, but McKelvie sent away in good style. Guest robbed Ip Pak-wa as the winger was get- ting into his stride, and a great shot by Kowloon from a free kick was saved well by Pau.
manner.
Hedley and Hannan were nearly through and Kowloon were going strong, but a beautiful bit of foot- ball by Lai Wai-tong saw Angus bringing off a fine save, but Lai Wai-tong obtained again' and flashed home a brilliant goal, giving Angus no chance,
Fast and Furious Kowloon were not beaten yet, and the match was contested at a fast and furious pace, the Kow! loon halves working hard against clever forward play.
Queen's Park Rangers have dis- placed Northampton at the head of the Southern Section of Division III, but little change was effected at the other end of the table.
Stockport and Bradford City both improved their positions at the head of the Northern Section; at the other end all three Clubs lost full points.
In the Scottish League, Glasgow Rangers could only get one point at Aberdeen. Of the Clubs likely to go down with Raith Rovers (who de- feated the Scottish Cup holders, Kilmarnock) Ayr United lost at home, Dundee picked up one point at Motherwell, and Third Lanark lost badly to their south-side city rivals, Queen's Park.
At Highbury the final of the Eng- lish Amateur Cup resulted in Ilford defeating Leylon (the holders) by three goals to one.

After falling in
the first race, Fanling Stag won the third with Mr. Newbigging up. Solitaire won the last race for Mr. Bjuke, an en- thusiastic Canton owner.
Three of the five winners were favourites but, nevertheless, 'divi- dends, were good.
