A Former Visit
Replying, Dr. Mott sald he felt much at home amongst the gather- ing comprising, as it did, many old friends and representatives of thosa whom he had met in different parts of the world. He found himself instantly in touch with them and responsive to the great objects for which they sought.
His first visit to this Colony was made 33 years ago, and speaking of the changes that had occurred since, Dr. Mott compared them wità the conditions of other big centres, seeing in these conditions tendencies working in the law of progress, or at times what amounted to the law of retrogression.
At the conclusion of his address, Dr. Mott was thanked by Mr. Y. P. Law on behalf of those present, while Dr. E. W. Kirk, as President of the League of Good Fellowship, als, spoke on behalf of his Society,
