INSPECTION OF 1ST BN. THE NORFOLK REGT.-The 1st Battalion, the Norfolk Regiment, having arrived at Shanghai from Egypt, was inspected by the General Officer Commanding, North China Command, Major-General A. E. Wardrop. C.B., C.M.G. Lt. Col. J. P. L. Mostyn was in command. Brigadier O. C. Borrett, C.B., C.M.G., C.B.E., D.S.O., A.D.C. (Commanding 14th Infantry Brigade and Commanding the Shanghai Area) and Colonel J. McD. Haskard,, C.M.G., D.3.0. (General Staff Officer, 1st grade, North China Command) were also at the saluting base (upper photo); the G.O.C. is seen in the middle photo inspecting the battalion; and the march past is shown in the lowest picture.-(Ah Fong).

FUNERAL OF MR. H. P. WHITE. The cortege outside the Protestant Cemetery, Happy Valley, followed by a large number of friends. Mr. H. P. White, senior partner of Messrs. Douglas, Lapraik & Co., died in Hong Kong on February 28 and the funeral was held the same evening. (K. Fujiyama).
