Tomes und Co., Ltd., the manager of which recently sent a gift of a Sung Chun Bulb Bowl and a Pai Ting White Bowl to the British- Museum. The third owner of the

was the Compradore of the Douglas Steamship Co., who died
some years ago. During his life. time he refused an offer of $10,000 for the vase which is a first class specimen of porcelain made for the Keen Lung Emperor in A.D. 1736.
