LESSON - SERMON
FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST, HONG KONG
"Love" was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, Feb.
The Golden Text was: The Lord is good to all: and his tender mer- dies are. over all His works" (Ps. 145, 9)..

Among the citations which com- prised the Lesson-Bermon was the following from the Bible: "Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wiadom, neither let the mighty man glary in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he and knoweth me, understandeth that I am the Lord which exerlese loving kindness, judgment; and righteousness, in the earth; for in these things I delight, saith the Lord" (Jer. 9.28, 24).
The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the
Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Kay to the Scrip- tures," by Mary Baker Eddy "All being, immortality, cause, and effect substance, intelligence, wisdom, belong to God. These are His at- tributes, the eternal manifestations of the Infinite divine Principle, Love" (F: 275)

An Appeal
Touching upon the subject of prayer the Bishop said, "I know it is difficult for some of us to pray but there are times when it is Those more difficult not to pray. who have ever been by a sick bed know that."
In conclusion, the Bishop made an appeal on behalf of the local and the London Masonic hospitals to whom the collection that evening was to be given.
