LEAGUE SOCCER
Eleven Fixtures For To-morrow
RECREIO AND QUEEN'S
Fine Matches At The Valley And Kowloon
[By "Rover"]
To-morrow in the 1st and 2nd Divisions of the Hong Kong League there are no less than 11 matches and only the cancellation at the last moment prevents the round dozen which, if not an actual record in the Hong Kong League 1st and 2nd Divisions, must be nearly so.
Both at Kowloon and Hong Kong there are attractive matches, and the meeting of the Club de Recreio, and the Queen's must be re- garded as the match of the day, notwithstanding the fact that Kow- loon entertain the much-improved South China XI on the Railway ground. The results of the Hong Kong matches, on form, are almost in the nature of foregone conclusions, excepting for the glorious un- certainty of football.
However, here is the official card for to-morrow and spectators can take their choice:-

R.A. v. Queen's, Chatham-road off.
At King's Park, Recreio, whose have not been too convincing, and is published in these it is quite conceivable, should the columns, will try conclusions with Club forwards have a day "on," Queen's, who have started the that the hard worked defence season in great form and much as may show what they are worth. I like the look of Recreio's team, This match should be a most at with their young players getting | tractive one. a try out, I much fancy, If Gosano can be held, that Queen's will just! get home. Queen's have sport- ingly agreed to play at King's Park, and there is no doubt that should King's Park or Kowloon FC. ground be disengaged on any Saturday afternoon, the changing of the venue of the match to either of these grounds from Chatham-road is advisable, as Chatham-road is not an ideal ground for any match and spec- tatora interests are much better served when the matches arrang- ed for this ground can be arrang- ed on the two Club'grounds men- tioned.
Although King's Park contains the big match on Saturday, the crowd will be at Kowloon F.C. ground, where Kowloon 1st and 2nd XI's will try conclusions with South China 1st and 2nd XI's. Kowloon, by request of the Rail- way authorities, have had to ex- tend their accommodation for spectators on the popular side op- posite the Grand Stand, and are prepared now for any large crowd which may attend the matches in future. As regards the match, if South China win it will be on their forward's merits, as herein lies the strength of the Caroline Hill Club. Kowloon are strong on the right wing, where Pile and McKelvie will cause trouble, and Sims, the evergreen, will form the mainstay of a rather strange- looking Kowloon defence.
Anyhow, the fact that both teams can play good, attractive football, leads me to predict a good afternoon sport with a prob- able division of points.
The Police should beat the Small Units, although the latter will spring a surprise before the end of the season. Police are doubtful of one or two of their star men starting, but should have a little in hand at the finish even with a couple of reserves in the field.

The remaining match, probably the best one on the Hong Kong side of the Harbour, is between the Royal Navy and the R.A. at Caroline Hill, South China's splen- did playing ground, which is shared as a Home-venue by the Royal Navy this year pending the preparation of their own playing pitch at the Lower Caroline Hill ground, contingent upon future requirements and developments.
