Striking tribute to the services rendered on behalf of British sea- men by the president of the Sen- 'men's Union; Mr. J. Havelock" Wilson, C.H., C.B.E, is paid in the two resolutions which ap pear below passed by the Liver- pool Central and Manchester branches of the union. It has been announced that at the forth- coming annual general meeting of the Seamen's Union Mr. Wilson's resignation will be tendered, and both resolutions are framed with the same object — inducing the president to continue in his office.
