THE CHINA MAIL.

During the week-end, Hong was favoured with a visit by a party of tourists of the “Osaka, Manichi" escorted tour for 1928, managed by Messrs. Thos. Cook and Son, Ltd., in co-operation with Wagons-Lita.

The travellers arrived in Hong Kong on Saturday on the" 8.8. "Hakusan Maru" from Singa pore and were entertained in the Hong Kong Hotel by Mr. Yoshia tau Murakami, His Imperial Japanese Majesty's Consul-Gen. eral in Hong Kong. On Satur- day evening there was a magni. ficent Chinese banquet in the South China restaurant.

Yesterday the tourists went sight-seeing on the island. To attend to the party, Messrs. Cooks' local office was opened yes- terday morning from 9 till 11 a.m. At 11 o'clock the visitors left
