The above views show an expedimentul motorisation of regular army unit at Camp Meade, Md., with approximately 256 vehicles and 1,100 soldiers in line.

Capt. Roald Amundsen (inset at left) was swallowed up in the Arctic.. The Norwegian Admiralty then learned that two fishermen on Bear Island came upon tracks of two wheels about six feet apart, running along about eighty feet to the edge of a precipice, a fur cap, a piece of a fur coat, and small pieces of broken wood. The wireless station on Bear Island was the last to hear Amundsen's 'plane, a plane fact which would indicate that the explorer might have crashed so near the precipics that his continued into the sea below.
