HONG KONG TIDE.
The tide table given below has been obtained by aid of the Tide-predicting Machine, which includes 40 componente for the better prodletion of tides, from the result of the analysis of the tidal cbservations, taken at the Kaulung tidal: observatory under the direction of Dr. Deberek during the years 1887, 1888 and 1889,'".
The times and baights are given for Kanlung; but they may be used for. the Victoria Naval Yard and Aber deen, the differences being very small. The times, of high-and low-water must not be considered to coincide with the times of slack-water and change of current, the two phenomena belug quite distinct.
