138. Chatham Road Extension. This work was referred to in paragraph 229 of last year's Report. The Contract was satisfactorily completed on 1st November, 1932.

139. Improving existing main roads for motor traffic.- Portions of Nathan Road, Prince Edward Road and Lai Chi Kok Road were reconditioned and strengthened with 7" re-inforced cement concrete surfacing.

142. Refuse Dump at Sung Wong Toi.-The contract for this work was awarded to Messrs. Sang Lee & Co. The progress handed over to Port was satisfactory. The contract was handed to Development Office on 31st December, 1932.

143. Rewiring of Government Buildings --Nos. 1 to 6 Cox's Path; 1 to 8 Cox's Road; Reclamation Street Market and Royal Observatory were completely rewired for fans and lights. Work on rewiring of Yaumati Police Station was commenced but not completed.
