The concert programme was opened with a very pleasing piece of Chinese music by Mr. Mak Kai- hung and his friends, which was deservedly well applauded.

Chinese Sketch.

Mr. G. S. Scully followed with a fine violin solo, choosing for his piece the popular "Indian Love Call," which met with instantane- ous applause. Mr. Scully's play- ing was so appealing that he had to give an encore before the audience was satisfied.

The concert closed with a de- lightful Chinese sketch entitled The Henpecked Husband" which was full of fun and kept the audi- ence laughing throughout. The sketch was written and produced by Mr. Mak Kam-chuen, to whom much credit is due.

After the concert, the hall was cleared of chairs and dancing was indulged in until a late hour.
