Considerable interest was cen tred around the holiday fixture between the Hong Kong C.C. and the United Services. The latter completed one-innings and set the Club the stiff proposition of mak-P. ing 261 runs. This match, which continued yesterday morning, will be held again to-day.
The Craigengower C.C. captur ed the full three points at the ex- pense of the Royal Artillery in the first division.
The University second eleven won, another match. With six victories in as many matches, they are now hard to overtake as they have already accounted for several of the best teams in the junior section. Club de Recreio easily defeated H.M.S. "Tamar," whilst the Civil Service C.C. went down to the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.

CRAIGENGOWEL. C.C. v. RA.
At Happy Valley, the Craigen- gower C.C. defeated the Royal Artillery by the narrow margin of
seven runs.
Batting first, the home team had lost nine wickes for 71 runs but the "tail" wagged, Y. Abbas and Modi putting on 40 runs for the last wicket.
The Artillerymon made a bold bid for victory, being 18 runs in arrears when the last pair was in. Lt. Musson was top scorer with 27 whilst Capt. Howard, going in last, helped with 23 not out. The bowl ing of both sides was weak, Oliver's 2 for 18 being the best analysis. Scores:—

The Bishop of London has held

8 charge of St. Cecilia's Church, 1 Harlesden, N.W., until recently. The accusations came from mem- 62 bers of the vicar's former congre- gation, and out of consideration for the large number of witnesses. Wit was necessary to call, the Bishop decided to hold the inquiry 8 locally, and it took place at the

The inquiry lasted four hours, and the Bishop was assisted in the conduct of the Court by, the Archdeacon of Hampstead. The priest was present in person. At the conclusion of the trial the Bishop of Loudon, addressing the accusers and witnesses for the defence, said:
I am glad to be able to tell you that Mr. Francis has been acquitted of all charges, and that, when he is ready, I shall be happy to recommend him to any Bishop as a most devoted priest.
The
Bishop, through hig chaplain, has since authorised publication of a letter in which his lordship states that he is now ready to allow" the priest to con- tinue ministerial work in the diocese of London, or to recom- mend him to the Bishop of any cther diocese to which he may. care to go.
