"The Chinese Parrot" is a screen version of Earl Derr Biggers' story of the same name which created a Bensation in America a few months ago. In the screen version all of the dramatic tenseness and mystery of the story is retained while the wider scope possible in, the filming has been fully exploited.

Some of the new photographic effects, indeed, are little ahort of wonderful. These alone give the picture exceptional interest, but it is as a story, first and last, that It can be recommended as one of the most entertaining pletures of the season.
