WUCHOW HOLDS OUT.
“CAPTURE” BY IRONSIDES PREMATURE.
WAR BY DEMONSTRATION.
Kwangsi Troops Not Afraid of 30,000!
RIVAL ARMIES BUSY DRILLING BUT KEEPING OUT OF DANGER.
Wuchow, an important Treaty Port up the West River, is still held by the Kwangsi military faction. Reports this week that the Ironsides had entered the place are premature.
War is now being carried out by demonstration, each side trying to scare the other by showing competence in drill. It is stated that the Kwangsi garrison "is not afraid of 30,000 Ironsides” but the rival armies are keeping well out of danger.
