Half-time-R.A., 1; South China,
On the resumption South China 'made a raid, but failed in front of goal and continued pressure saw Chau put wide. A corner against Bacon was cleared. Smith after an Individual run, put over. China run down but Young apolled the movement with an

erratic shot from 80 yards,
Chang survived magnificently from an intensive barrage by the RA. front line and the clearance saw Chau in possession. On this and a subsequent occasion one minute later, he missed by yards.
Within 10 minutes of the whistle the R.A. deserved at least three more goals, but the side was held by Chang who played a marvellous game for China. A corner against Chinn resulted in a break away and then a corner against the R.A. This was cleared without difficulty, but a free kick resulted, from which Tin put the ball over the line.
The Chinese were seen to better advantage in the later stages but never looked like scoring, although the defence generally rendered the R.A. attack ineffective, they being compelled to rely on wing to wing passing and long shots. In the last 15 minutes of the game Chins was smothered.
Full time-R.A., 1; South China,
South China were nippy and also verv lucky, although their right wing and right full back played very good football and, the team are | to be given credit for picking up the
