Mr. M. S. Bertram, a lady four- nalist who, for the past 20 years, held a prominent placé in the public life of Leith, and, latterly, of Edia- burgh, has just died. At one time editor of The Lady's Companion" and "Home Life," two London periodicals, Mrs. Bertram may be said to have been one of the pioneers of the feminist movement.
