According to a Paris correspond- ent, the appointment of Mr. Saburi as Counsellor of the Japanese Em- bassy In London for a limited period of time is worthy of notice. Mr. Saburi, who holds the rank of Min- ister-Plenipotentiary. acted in 1921 during the Washington Conference as the Japanese Charge d'Affaires in Washington. At the beginning of the current year he was antrusted with an important mission in China, and lately he was sent to the Geneva Naval Conference as diplo matic adviser to Admiral Saito.
