Which is the shortest golf course in the world?
The course of the Cochin Club is situated on the island of Bolghatty, two miles from Bri- tish Cochin, and is laid out on the lines of any modern home course, with banked up greens, etc. The hazards are principally trees; and a large water tank, and the backwater (out of bounds) is waiting for the slightest pull or slice. T. lengths of the nine holes are 165, 166, 189, 121, 172, 136, 176, 126, and 175 yards, making a total of 1,426 yards. The bogey is 33, and the record is held by an old Edinburgh golfer, L. C. L. Adam, who not so long ago was a competitor in the "Evening Dispatch" tourna ment on the Braids. Adam's re- cord score was 3 3 3 2 3 3 2 3 4-26. It is not often that a round is spoilt by a four!
