A naval enquiry will be held to enquire into the circumstances attending death.
Deceased, who leaves a widow at St. Michael, Devon, is said to have been of a quiet disposition and popular. He was a teeto- taller and a keen sportsman, excelling at Rugby football.
The trick played at the second shop was more elaborate. The master of this place, also a grocer's shop in the same district, reports that two young men dressed in foreign clothes bought three tins of condensed milk and three towels. They handed over a $100 note and obtained change as follows-one $50, two $10, and four $5 notes. Again one of the youths picked up the notes and returned them day. asking for all tens.

FLYING IN PERSIA.
BILL BEFORE THE HOUSE OF LORDS.
Rugby, April 28. Mr. G. Locker Lampson, Under- Secretary for Foreign Affairs;! stated in the House of Commons: that difficulties had arisen with the Persian Government regard- ing the rights of British aireraft to fly over Persian territory on the Cairo to Karachi air route."
The difficulties were due to the recent and sudden reversal of policy by the Persian Govern ment, who decided not to allow an international afrway, along the gouthern coast of Persia.
A written agreement, which if} it had entered into force, would have secured the opening of this route to international traffic, had in fact been signed by the Persian Foreign Minister and the British Minister at Tehran on behalf of Imperial Airways Limited in September of 19255-1931.
Further negotiations with the 11.89 a.m. Persian Government on the sub-
ject were now in progress 1.80 p.m. British Wireless Service,
