FATE OF "ELKTON" STILL A MYSTERY.

Manila, Feb. 20.

The fate of the freighter "Elk- ton," of the American Pioneer line and its crew of 37 men still is not known in Manila. The boat sent out distress signals on Thursday night, giving its position as 186:36 degrees east longitude and 14.16 north latitude, or nearly 1,000 miles east of Manila. The distress signals were picked up by the steamer "Liberator." 7 This boat searched over a radius of 200 miles but was unable to find the "Elkton."
