RADIO INVENTION,

AS PRIVATE AS THE TELEPHONE,

An invention which, if it proved practicable, will render radio com- munication as secret and private as that of the existing telegraph wires and cables, has just been announc- ed by Issain Kaga of the Tokyo Municipal Electric Laboratory Mr. Koga said that his device, had not yet progressed beyond laboratory achievement, but that the govern- ment is preparing a series of testo for it on a large scale.

The inventor, while declining to mako public the details of his in- vention, said that it consisted of special contrivances attached to bath the transmitting and receiving apparatus. With the devise, it is claimed all outside interference can be obviated and messages can- not be "picked up" by outside stations.
