SHIPMASTERS, NOTE.

Regarding typhoon warnings. the following is posted on the Harbour Office notice board:-Shipmasters are notified that under the "stair way on the ground floor will be found a telephone giving a direct line to the Royal Observatory. This is, reserved for shipmasters requir ing typhoon information.
MOVEMENTS OF STEAMERS.
The C.P.S., R.M.S. "Empress of Asia" from Hongkong on June 24 arrived at Vancouver on July 12.
The B. I. s.3..."Shirala" left Singapore for this port on July and is dus here to- 10 at p.m. day.
The F. & O. s.s. "Alipore" left! Shanghai for this port on July 13 at 4.30a.m. and is due here to- morrow at about 4 pm.
The CP.S., R.M.S. ('Empress of Canada" arrived at Kobe yesterday at 6 p.m. Jeft Kobo yesterday at midnight and is due at Yokohama to-morrow at 6 a.m.
