One rents in the old days of the Singapore C.C. or the home side making such scores as ten and twelve; but on these occasions they ascally dismissed their opponents for six, or even. one run, as the records show. But cyen, the high standard of the olden days has been improved, and the side which so soundly trounced Hongkong in the interport mateh would most likely beat any of the Minor Counties at Home.

It may not, perhaps, be quite fitting that a mere visitor should "attempt to write about cricket in such a classic atmosphere, but he may be allowed to say a few things about the tour itself. From start to finish it has been a sheer joy to meet the home players and to become a member of the vari- ous Clubs.
