New York. Dec. 19. The Department of Conimerce- states that the capacity of the United States rubber reclamation plants has been greatly enlarged during the past six months and will produce in 1926 probably 400,000,000 lbs. compared with 170,000,000 lbs. in 1924.
Faiting a heaty increase in consumption, which now appears unlikely, this prospective increase in the domestic supply of rubber is considered, to be certain to affect atrongly the foreign price.
