When the flag fell, the field of seven got away nicely with Quab in the van. He was followed by. Uncle Alf and Baldorney Star 1 into the straight. At the winning post Beldorney Star showed out in front of Jainbu. Duke of 2 Frisco and Mowgli, and Tenshop was far to the rear. After the 6 furlong post Quab began.10 By this 3 improve his position.

The rest of the field allowed him to break away and never saw him again. At the last turn Arabian Parrot had come up strongly and was a poor. second.
