LAWN BOWLS RELEGATION DECIDED.
The fixture of outstanding interest in the First Division of the Bowls: League on Saturday afternoon was the meeting of the Kowloon Cricket Club, and the Kowloon Dock Recreation Club'at、 Hunghom. In two of the rinks the K.C.C. finished on top, Brawn disposing of Lapsley by 21-16 and Gibson just beating Pun- cheon by 19-17. The third rink, however, (Hyde v. Johnston) went down by nine points, a keen struggle thus ending in favour of the ground team by the very nar row margin of two points. This means the relegation of the K.C.C. to the Second Division next season.

Guy In the fifth and deciding set, (Skip).. with the games 5-2, Kinsey lead-Hazel ing, and the eighth game at 30-15, Duncan Tilden's favour, the Californian Wylie hit a return that was too low to Whibley
clear the net. The ball hit the tape, and both Tilden and Kinsey were expecting it to fall back on the nearside, when it dropped slowly into Tilden's court, and the point went to Kinsey, making the score 30 all.
Then Tilden served and Kinsey made only an indifferent effort to return it, the ball going into the net. The gallery was quick to applaud the Californian.
From that time Kinsey, who had had the upper hand in the crucial set, gradually lost his lead as the national champion increas- ed his speed and took four games straight, finally emerging the victor.
