LONDON, May 21. An unexpected bulletin states that the Earl of Ypres is staking and there appears to be little hope of his recovery.
Some weeks the Earl of Ypres was reported to be seriously ill, Later however his recovery was announced. The Earl of Ypres was Commander-in-Chief of the British forces in France in the earlier part of the war. Upon being succeeded by Field Marshal Haig, he became Viceroy of Ireland and held that post until troublous times were largely ended.
