MDE KELVEY'S PUPILS.

BEAUTIFUL DANCING.

EXHIBITION.

THE CHINA MAIL.

An excellent entertainment was the unanimous verdict of a crowd- ed house at the Star Theatre last (night when Madame Kelvey again.

presented her talented pupils in a varied programme of dancing and other items which all combined to give the exhibition the hallmark of excellence.

A feature of the exhibition was the charming manner in which the pupils, especially the little one ores, worked into the hearts of the audience whose pleasure knew no bounds.

The entertainment opened with a Cake Walk by the little ones. which at the outset satisfied the house that more good items were to follow. One of the smallest of the lot, Rosemary Richards, acquitt- ed herself wonderfully for her age Later, this little lady combined with Dorollty Tollan, Patsy Nicholls, Margaret Dixon and Joan Berry in the Horn Pipe, and with these and others in the Eas- ter Egg Surprise, all of which were charmingly executed, the latter producing 3 "bevy of colour which displayed pleasing effects. The greatest success was achieved by the little wonder in the Crinoline Dance Petite, the standard of which reached the perfection of "Grandma's Days" recently rendered by a profes- sional company. Ruth Anderson

a two-year old baby-also won applause for her clever dancing, Thelma Scott gave a pleasing inter- pretation of The Spirit of a Rose, dancing daintily, and later com- bining with Chrissie Dixon, Gladys Ramsay and Olga Kelvey in the Song and Umbrella Dance which, as with mast of the other items, was encored. Dorothy Tollan and Patsy Nichols, as scarecrows, could not have done better and provided much amusement.

Gladys Ramsay and Cubby Duncan gave a pretty exhibition of dancing. in a gavotic and the Garden of Dreams: These two are born dancers... Ivy Nicholls scored a distinct success in her singing,
