POLICE SEARCH.
HOTEL'S NO 1 BOY IN TROUBLE.
Another prosecution in con- nection with resisting a search for Magistracy before Mr. S.B.B. Mc arms was entered at the Central Elderry this morning when the No. 1 boy of the Repulse Bay Hotel was the defendant.
Dungey and an Indian sergeant, Evidence given by Sergeant F. who conducted the search on Saturday, pointed to the defendant having adopted an insolent attitude whilst complying with the order to put up his hanhs.
A fine of $10 was imposed.
THIEVES BUSY.
The Netherlands Harbour Works engaged in the North Point'scheme report to the police the theft of a raft constructed of American pine logs together with two anchors.
On taking stock, it was found that two anchors, 600 feet of rope and thirty drills had also been, stolen from the Works.
The Oostkerk was on its way to Hongkong from Bremen, via Manila. There were 600 tons of cargo for Hongkong and 1,400 tons for other ports. The craw comprises 15 Europeans and 46 Asiatics.
