Uncle Tam and Deveron Star showed the way to the football stand where Grey, Streak took up the running: Baby Eyes had drawn up to Grey Streak at the distance post and these two fought out a neck, and neck finish. The King finished fourth.

After the race, Baby Eyes was put up for sale in the weighing enclosure at $400 (the price entered) it no bid was forthcom ing.

Mr. Gibson, the winning jockey, is reputed to be interested in the sweep ticket which drew his mount and won over $8,000.
