Serious disturbances occurred at the Toyoda Mill last night, agitators from the other mills scaling
walle, entering the building, inducing the employees to strike, and damag- ing the machinery.
The mill staff and a detachment of police succeeded in driving out the men, but the crowd attacked a motor-car occupied by half-a- dozen Japanese employees and shot one, resulting in a serius wound.
The wounded man is in a 'critical condition. "
