An erstwhile football player, who tried boxing unsuccessfully, and who is novice at wrestling, is now world's heavyweight wrestling champion, He is Wayne H. ("Big") Munn, who, by ponderous strength, broke "Strangler" Lewis's fearful headlocks and crashed him into submission. Murn won the Brat and third fails and Jost the second when he picked up the giant Lewis and threw him out of the ring. The referee disqualified him for it, but Lewis, when he re-entered the ring, was apparently badly hurt and lost the third fall in less than a minute.
